Checking files and fixing refusals
Check a file before customs does, read an ACK, and refile — on the site or by e-mail.

- ICEGATE refused your file by e-mail? Amending a CSN
Amend or delete an accepted CSN, including one filed on the ICEGATE portal.

Customs’ record, tracking and sharing

CSN and SAM: what must match
The forwarder’s side of the handshake with the shipping line’s manifest.

So for a bulk carrier, a tanker, a break-bulk or a tramp call, where no liner system produces the file, the official path has been to hand-write the JSON from the message guide.2:56
- "Delete the SAM and file an SAA" — what your customer is asking forIt is the commonest request a shipping line is getting right now: a forwarder asks you to delete the SAM and file an SAA so their console's house bills reach the filing. This is what that actually means, where it is, and who has to approve it.2:33
- The bill that missed your SAM — put it on with an SAA, from their CSNA forwarder files their CSN after you have already filed your SAM. Customs accepts it. Now their bill has to go onto your filing — and that is an SAA too, the same message as a deletion, pointed the other way.2:06
