Cargo leaving India is filed as a CSN Exit — SCX. This is the commonest shape: one shipping bill under one bill of lading, a straight bill, start to finish.
In this film
- Start from the Export filing — CSN Exit (SCX) card; a band at the top says which set of screens you are on.
- Find the ship by name, IMO number or VCN, and pick its call from customs' own list; the VCN and the port you file at fill themselves in.
- Count your shipping bills: one under this B/L is a straight bill, and its PCIN goes on the bill itself.
- Where the PCIN comes from, and what happens if it is missing.
- Type the foreign port the bill delivers to — the rest of the route is written from it.
- Came down from an ICD? One tick covers the leg to the port.
- The container on the bill: number, size, seal, packages, weight.
- The codes you never have to know — EX, S and S — filled in and locked, each with its reason; the port of receipt and the loading port filled in too.
- The exporter, the buyer abroad, a notify party filled from the buyer, and the goods.
- The last screen lists the refusals an export actually gets — the same findings that decide whether the filing can be sent.
