"Delete the SAM and file an SAA" — what your customer is asking for

In this film

• Open the SAM customs accepted — not an earlier amendment.
• Find the bill and Remove it. Nothing goes to customs: the bill moves to a list with Put back beside it, and you can undo it right up until you build.
• Build amendment writes the SAA from the difference, and shows it to you first: three bills down to two, and every bill you did not touch stays out of the file and is not re-sent.
• It asks customs where it holds that line — an amendment can only remove a line customs holds. This ship is invented, so customs' record has nothing, and the dialog says so.
• It says in plain words what customs is told — delete this line, not the whole SAM, with the containers that went with it listed separately — so you can send that sentence back to whoever asked.
• And it tells you who has to approve it before you sign: before entry inward the amendment is yours to file; after it, an officer approves it before customs' record changes (ICES Advisory 37/2026). Where nobody has asked customs about the ship, it says so rather than guessing — one enquiry from the Checks tab finds out.
