Films · CSN and SAM: what must match

A shipping line shared its SAM with you — your BL, and your CSN due by its cut-off

When a shipping line shares its SAM on SCMTR before filing it, every forwarder on it hears — and sees its own BL on the line's copy, while a fix on either side is still free.

In this film

  • The notice on your CSN filing page, and the alerts: the line named you on a BL, and your CSN is due by the line's cut-off
  • Lines that shared their SAM with you: your own BLs only, each against your own CSN
  • Here the line's draft carries your MBL straight — without your CSN. Filed like that, putting your house BLs back is the line deleting its line and adding it back: a paid SAA
  • Sign & upload shows the same warning before your DSC — a shared draft never stops your upload
