The SCMTR.io app

The SCMTR.io app for iPhone and Android

Last updated

SCMTR.io has a companion app for the phone. It is for everything a filer does away from a desk: seeing what customs said, recording the e-mailed ACK file, approving a send a colleague is held back from, the CSN cut-offs, BL tracking and VCN search, and the assistant. The declaration form itself is not in the app and is not coming — a CSN has close to three hundred fields and belongs on a screen where a whole block is visible at once.

Is the app in the App Store or on Google Play?

Not yet. As of 12 October 2026 a test build is with early testers — on iPhone through Apple's TestFlight, on Android as a test install. If you would like to try it, write to support@scmtr.io from the address you sign in with. When a build is released in a store, this page will say so; until then, nothing you find in a store under this name is ours.

What can I do in the app?

TodayWhat is waiting on you, in the order to meet it: approvals you can decide, CSNs customs refused or whose send is uncertain, draft CSNs whose line's cut-off falls in the next three days, unread alerts. The icon's badge is this count.
FilingsWhat your organisation has filed and what customs said about each — search by job number or the start of a BL, narrow by status. An unsent CSN shows its line's cut-off beside it.
Record the ACKThe e-mailed _ACK file, recorded from the phone (below).
Approve a sendWhen a colleague's Sign & upload is stopped because an earlier send of the same filing is still unanswered or was accepted, you decide on the phone whether it may go anyway, and the decision is recorded under your name.
CSN cut-offsThe same board as the website's, by port, line or ship, with a call's VCN, rotation and VIA one tap to copy, Remind me a day, three hours and an hour before, and Share with the absolute time. No account is needed for it.
BL tracking and VCN searchThe two public lookups, with your recent lookups remembered on the phone.
Alerts, My VCNs, sign-insThe alerts the website shows in the bell, your organisation's vessel calls, and every browser and phone signed in to your account — end any of them from the phone.
The assistantThe same assistant as the website, with the conversation carried into follow-ups and its sources one tap away.
App lockOptional: Face ID, a fingerprint or your passcode before the app opens. The app-switcher preview never shows a filing.

How do I record an ACK file from my phone?

Two ways, and neither needs you to find the filing first — the file says which filing it answers.

In the app, open Record the ACK and choose the _ACK file from your phone's files. In Mail or Gmail, tap the _ACK attachment and choose Open in SCMTR.io. The app shows the file and asks Record this ACK? before anything is sent; nothing is recorded until you tap.

JSON and text files only. The app then shows what customs said in the same words as the website: accepted, or each objection with what it means and how to clear it. If no filing of your organisation's answers the file, it says so and still explains the file.

How do I sign in on the phone?

The same ways as on the website, with no password: Google, a Microsoft work account, or a link sent to your e-mail. On an iPhone you can also use Sign in with Apple. Signing in on the phone does not sign your laptop out; each device keeps its own sign-in for thirty days, and Settings → Sign-ins on either lists them all. See Signing in.

What does the app keep on my phone?

Nothing of your organisation's. Filings and what customs said are held in memory only while the app is open; the phone keeps your sign-in in its secure keychain, and a small preferences file with your recent public lookups, reminders and settings. Signing out clears all of it and cancels every reminder. A file handed to the app is deleted the moment it has been read.

A notification on the lock screen carries a job number, a vessel's name and a one-line status — never a consignee, the goods, a party or an amount.

How do I delete my account from the app?

Settings → Delete my account. Type DELETE to confirm. The request goes to SCMTR.io's staff, who carry it out and write back, as the privacy page describes. Your organisation's filings stay with the organisation; what is deleted is your account and its sign-ins.

Which phones does it run on?

iPhone and Android. The app needs a connection to scmtr.io for everything but the cut-off reminders already set and the lookups it remembers.

Still stuck on this?

The assistant answers from this exact page and the rest of our reference material, and names the documents behind every answer.
