What an ICEGATE login lets you look up
What an ICEGATE login lets you look up
ICEGATE's public enquiry page answers anyone. Signed in with your own ICEGATE ID, you see a longer menu — and some of it answers questions a filer otherwise has to chase by phone. This is what a sea agent's login offered on 25 September 2026. The menu follows the role your ID is registered under, so a customs broker's or an exporter's login may show a different set.
Which enquiries does a signed-in sea agent get?
| Enquiry | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Bond Number Enquiry | Give a PAN; get the transhipment (TG) bond customs' register holds for it — the bond number, the customs location it is registered at, and its expiry date |
| Bond Ledger Enquiry | A bond's ledger — what has been debited against it |
| PCIN Enquiry / PCIN Download Enquiry | The PCIN customs issued against a shipping bill, one bill at a time or as a download |
| Cargo Summary Notification | Your own CSNs as customs holds them |
| Warehouse Code Enquiry | A warehouse's details by its code or name (bonded warehouses; it does not list CFS codes) |
| Document Status | Where a document stands at customs |
| Check IEC / BIN Status | Whether an IE code is live, as DGFT reported it to customs |
| Status of SB in RBI EDPMS | A shipping bill's status at the RBI's export monitoring system |
| Monthwise Drawback Enquiry | Drawback disbursed, month by month |
It also offers three request forms: VCN Exchange, ATE Request and ELR Request.
The public page, without a login, offers a different set: BE in RBI-IDPMS, SB in RBI-EDPMS, Warehouse Code Enquiry, Track Postal Item, DGFT SB Integration Status, Rotation No Enquiry, License Received from DGFT, Document Status, BE transmission to GSTN, and Challan Enquiry.
Is there a list of every customs location?
Yes — ICEGATE's own location list, the one its enquiry pickers read. It had 586 locations for
an anonymous visitor and 590 for a signed-in user on 25 September 2026; the four extra are the
Attari rail cargo station and three systems and headquarters offices. Every one is a six-character
station code (INNSA1, INTRV1); ten-character CFS codes are not on it. The platform's port list
is checked against it — see Which port goes in which field.
Can I check a transhipper's bond?
With the Bond Number Enquiry — see Can I look a transhipper's bond up on ICEGATE?. In short: it shows one current bond per PAN with its expiry, customs also accepts older bonds that are still in use, and an empty answer is not proof that a bond is invalid.
Is there a list of CFS codes or shipping lines behind the login?
Not that it would give us. The agency lists the enquiry pickers draw on answered empty for every agency type we asked — CFS, custodian, shipping line, transhipper and others — and the warehouse enquiry does not recognise CFS codes. CFS codes are still found the way the rest of the trade finds them: on customs' facility circulars, port by port, and on filings customs accepted.
